We are a fully licensed and insured outfitting service. Our fair chase hunts are conducted on over 60,000 acres of private land in South Central Montana near the Crazy Mountains. At over 20 miles from the nearest highway, our remote location makes for a game rich hunting experience.

About Us
Our Story
Cayuse Hills Outfitters is owned and operated by Wes and Lydia Sargent. Wes started guiding hunters in 2010 while working for Lydia's family's outfitting business in Gardiner, Montana. After getting married and relocating to Wes's family ranch, Wes and Lydia decided to start their own outfitting business, Cayuse Hills Outfitters.

Cayuse Hills Outfitters is operated out of the Sargent Ranch, 20 miles south of Shawmut, MT. The ranch has been in the Sargent name since 1919. Wes and Lydia's sons, are the 6th generation on the ranch.

Wes and Lydia are both avid outdoorsman who appreciate and respect the wildlife they hunt and employ only the best guides that share that same passion for the outdoor industry.
