Our Story

Cayuse Hills Outfitters is owned and operated by Wes and Lydia Sargent. Wes began guiding hunters in 2010 while working for Lydia's family's outfitting business in Gardiner, Montana. After their marriage and a move to Wes's family ranch, they decided to establish their own outfitting business, Cayuse Hills Outfitters.

Located 20 miles south of Shawmut, MT, Cayuse Hills Outfitters operates out of the Sargent Ranch, which has been in the Sargent family since 1919. Wes and Lydia's sons represent the sixth generation to grow up on the ranch.

Both Wes and Lydia are passionate outdoors enthusiasts who appreciate and respect the wildlife they hunt. They employ only the best guides who share their commitment to the outdoor industry.
